An ergonomic carbon cockpit
Developed in-house at Canyon, this lightweight, stiff aero one-piece carbon cockpit features a race-inspired design for optimal control and precision. A smooth, straight transition from the bartape edge to the top bar guarantees super-clean aesthetics. And ergonomic drops make room for a tight, locked in thumb position for extra comfort and grip.
Clean cockpit: semi-integrated cables made simple
Neat, tidy, simple to maintain – with the Ultimate’s cockpit-mounted Cable Integration Unit, enjoy all of the benefits of integrated cables with none of the drawbacks. The unit discreetly routes all your cables and lines under the stem and leads them into the frame through the head tube. The semi-integrated design makes cable swaps quick and hassle-free.
Aerodynamically optimised
On the road, from just 14 kph, aerodynamic drag is the largest force holding you back. So we optimised the frame forms for minimum drag, through an exhaustive process of wind tunnel testing in collaboration with aero experts at Swiss Side. We also integrated the headtube/fork area as much as possible for extra aero gains.
High-end carbon layup
To make a frame with a class-leading stiffness-to-weight ratio, you need to use an advanced mix of carbon fibre materials. We precisely optimised the frame’s wall thickness and chose the exact fibres required for incredible stiffness and huge strength.
Aero Seatpost
The Ultimate looks even cleaner and sleeker with this clamp design. The clamp is hidden away in the seat tube, so there’s no extra drag. We have combined it with a D-shaped seatpost to reduce air resistance in the seat tube area to an absolute minimum. Plus, it’s also simple to adjust so you can easily find your perfect riding position thanks to independent setback and tilt adjustment.
